How do you handle my personal information and data?
CareerSet is designed to support your employability, and we are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the personal information necessary to provide, secure and improve our services. We do not sell or monetise your personal data, and only share it where necessary and as described in our Privacy Policy.
Depending on the CareerSet products and features you use, we may process:
- Account information: such as your name and email address and, where applicable, additional information requested as part of your institution's CareerSet configuration, such as graduation year, course, faculty or student number.
- Application and career content: information you choose to submit, which may include CVs, job descriptions, cover letters, LinkedIn profile content, interview responses, and role or industry information used for Career Map. How this content is stored depends on the product or feature you use. For example, standard ScoreMyCV does not retain your original CV by default, while Visual CV Feedback and ScoreMyCV AI+ involve secure CV storage. Other products may retain feedback reports or relevant submitted information in accordance with our retention policy.
- Technical and support information: such as your IP address and information you provide when completing forms, contacting support or providing feedback.
We use appropriate hosting, security and AI technology providers where necessary to operate CareerSet and provide specific functionality. Only the information required for the relevant purpose is processed, subject to the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
