What happens to the original documents and data I upload?

Our solution design aims to minimise data processing and storage while providing the functionality you need. Because each CareerSet product works differently, the way your submitted content is handled also varies:

CVs in ScoreMyCV: In standard ScoreMyCV, your CV is processed to generate your feedback report but is not retained by default. If Visual CV Feedback is enabled by your educational institution, your CV is securely stored within your account so that feedback can be displayed directly within the document. ScoreMyCV AI+ is a separate configuration in which your CV is stored as part of the visual, document-based feedback experience.

CVs and job descriptions in TargetMyCV: Your CV is processed to generate tailored feedback but is not retained. The job description you submit and the resulting feedback report are retained.

Cover letters: Your cover letter and any job description you submit are processed for the duration of your session and are not retained afterwards. The resulting feedback report is retained.

LinkedIn profiles: Your submitted profile content is stored so that you can work interactively on section-by-section improvements within the tool.

Interview Practice: Your text transcript is retained by default to provide your feedback and allow you to review previous sessions. Audio and video are not stored by default, but you can choose to save them for later access.

Career Map: You can optionally submit a CV alongside information such as a role, industry or job description. If you submit a CV, it is processed to generate your analysis but is not retained. Your Career Map feedback report is stored.

Your feedback reports and any documents or other content that are retained are kept in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention periods.

Your feedback reports and any stored documents are retained in line with our Privacy Policy.
