What is Visual CV Feedback and how is my data handled?

Visual CV Feedback allows CareerSet to display feedback directly within your CV, including visual highlighting and annotations that make it easier to identify areas for improvement.

Visual CV Feedback is an optional feature. Your educational institution determines whether it is made available to you.

When Visual CV Feedback is enabled, your original CV is securely stored within CareerSet so that the visual feedback can be displayed within your document. This differs from standard ScoreMyCV without Visual CV Feedback, where your CV is processed to generate your feedback but the original CV is not retained.

Visual CV Feedback itself does not use a third-party AI provider.

Where enabled by your institution, you may also be able to run optional Machine Readability / AI Checks. These are separate AI-supported checks. If you choose to run them, your CV is securely transmitted to Mistral AI to generate the relevant feedback.

Your stored CV and feedback reports are retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention periods.
