How is my data handled when I use LinkedIn Profile Optimisation?

When you use LinkedIn Profile Optimisation, the profile content you submit or import is stored within CareerSet so that you can review your feedback and work interactively on section-by-section improvements.

You can provide your profile either by uploading a PDF exported from LinkedIn or by submitting your LinkedIn profile URL. When URL-based import is used, CareerSet accesses only publicly visible profile information.

LinkedIn Profile Optimisation uses OpenAI as part of its core functionality to support profile analysis and feedback.

Only the content required to provide the relevant functionality is transmitted to OpenAI. CareerSet does not send your CareerSet account details, such as your name or email address, to OpenAI as separate account information, although the LinkedIn profile content you submit may itself contain personal information.

CareerSet uses OpenAI under a business/API arrangement under which submitted CareerSet content is not used to train or improve OpenAI's general-purpose AI models.

Your educational institution or authorised partner determines whether LinkedIn Profile Optimisation is made available to you.

Your stored profile content and feedback are retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention periods.
