How is my data handled when I use Interview Practice?

CareerSet's Interview Practice tool allows you to practise interview questions and receive personalised feedback on your responses.

Interview Practice uses OpenAI as part of its core functionality to support interview question generation and feedback. Your educational institution determines whether Interview Practice is made available to you.

When you complete an interview practice session, CareerSet processes your responses to generate feedback.

What is stored?

Your text transcript is stored by default, together with the relevant feedback, so that you can review your previous interview practice sessions.

If you use audio or video during your practice session, audio and video are not stored by default. They are available while your report is being generated, and you can choose whether to save them for later access.

This gives you control over whether your interview recordings are retained.

CareerSet uses OpenAI under a business/API arrangement under which submitted CareerSet content is not used to train or improve OpenAI's general-purpose AI models.

Stored transcripts, feedback reports and any audio or video you choose to save are retained in accordance with CareerSet's Privacy Policy and applicable retention periods.
