How is my data handled when I use Career Map?

Career Map is a CareerSet product that uses AI-supported analysis to help you explore career opportunities and gain insights relevant to your career development.

Career Map can use information you choose to provide, such as a role, industry or job description. You can also choose to submit your CV, but submitting a CV is optional.

What happens if I submit my CV?

If you choose to submit a CV, CareerSet processes it as part of the Career Map analysis, but the CV itself is not retained.

Your resulting Career Map feedback report is stored within CareerSet. Depending on the information you submitted, the report may include your role or industry information, submitted job description and analysis generated against your CV.

Does Career Map use AI?

Yes. OpenAI is used as part of Career Map's core functionality. Your educational institution determines whether Career Map is made available to you.

Only the content required to provide the Career Map functionality is transmitted for processing.

CareerSet uses OpenAI under a business/API arrangement under which submitted CareerSet content is not used to train or improve OpenAI's general-purpose AI models.

Stored Career Map feedback reports are retained in accordance with CareerSet's Privacy Policy and applicable retention periods.

Career Map is a separate product from Career Insights, which is an optional feature within TargetMyCV and uses the submitted job description only.
