How is my data handled when I use Cover Letter Feedback?

CareerSet's Cover Letter Feedback tool analyses your cover letter and, where provided, the relevant job description to give you personalised feedback.

Your submitted cover letter and job description are processed only for the duration of your session and are not retained afterwards.

The resulting feedback report is stored within CareerSet so that you can access your previous feedback. It is retained in accordance with CareerSet's Privacy Policy and applicable retention periods.

The core Cover Letter Feedback functionality does not use a third-party AI provider.

Where enabled by your educational institution, optional AI WriteCoach / writing assistance may also be available. If you choose to use this feature, the content required to generate the requested writing assistance is securely transmitted to OpenAI.

CareerSet uses OpenAI under a business/API arrangement under which submitted CareerSet content is not used to train or improve OpenAI's general-purpose AI models.

Your educational institution determines whether optional AI writing functionality is available to you, and you choose whether to use it.
